Playing for my Senior Guests

I love playing violin for my senior citizen guests!

I am honored to be invited to play at several retirement homes and assisted living facilities. I love playing these venues because the guest are so appreciative. I play old tunes, some are American songs like “Moon River” or “I Did it My Way” but also European favorites. It not only gives the guests a chance to enjoy music of a much younger and earlier time in their lives but a chance for me to make a personal connection with wonderful people who enjoy good music.

There is something about the classics that never gets old.  If you have a group that might be interested in having me play for them, I would love the chance to put a smile on their faces and a song in their heart. I am including a sample of music that I play for my fans!

If you have a venue that you would like me to play for, call me at (702) 682-5202

Tatiana, thank you so much for being part of our day.  I made sure to stop and listen to the music.  I’ve heard so many brides say that they’re so nervous they never even hear the music. The Music was beautiful and just added so much to our day.  I hope you weren’t too cold! :).

My Students

I love to teach and play violin!

I  have opportunity to play more and more venues.  I am so happy!  Now I have violin students that I teach.  I so like my students.  There is such satisfaction in seeing the progress my students are making.  Some are young, eager and just starting to learn.  Others have been playing awhile or are older and want to learn to play correctly and at higher level.

Each group has their own challenges.  I first teach them the proper way to hold bow and violin.  It is foundation for becoming a good violinist.  If you do not have good bow technique, you will never advance beyond beginner status!  Next is how to get good sound from your instrument.  My students who practice and play like I teach them, can quickly see progress.

I am proud to say that my students that were taught before, are surprized at what they can now accomplish with a few adjustments and practice, practice, practice.  I am proud of my students and I think they so appreciate me.

Practice makes perfect: Start with 15 minutes everyday and work up to at least an hour of play or more.

During practice, focus on improving and playing musically.  Play a small segment of music, then ask yourself: “What can I do to make that sound better?”. Then play the segment again while trying to implement your ideas.

Practice is critical.  A violin has no frets or marks to help place the fingers. A student that wants to be a good player will practice every day to prevent losing the feel of the right position for the hand and fingers.

Be Patient!  Be sure not to rush ahead and try things that are too difficult; you have to crawl before you can walk. Go Step by Step. First, learn the simple things like learning how to use a bow. Before you know it, you’ll be ready for more difficult things.  Even very gifted musicians must practice hard and may struggle when learning something new. Patience is the key!,

Practice hard fast parts slowly, then work up to tempo.  It is not important to be able to play fast at first. More important to play correctly and get the best sound from your violin. Besides, some of the most beautiful violin music is played slowly, like Ava Maria played here. Do not expect to play something well the first time, or even the first twenty times!

Have fun!  Violin playing should not feel like a chore. While you should practice the music you need to for your teacher or orchestra, leave time at the end for your favorite music.

I have been taking violin lessons with Tatiana for the past two months. With her instruction I have improved very quickly. She makes learning fun. I think Tatiana has a great style of teaching that suits any age.

Latin Wedding

I played violin at small Catholic Church

I must tell you… This was one of the best weddings!  I nothing understand, everything in Latin and Spanish but the bride was beautiful and the church was full!

The priest, Father Krier has a wonderful church and is director of St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  He made me feel right at home and helped me when I was suppose to play.

The bride and groom were so happy.  I have a great business when I get to join in a celebration of joy with good people like these.

Nov 18th Charity Event

I preformed at the Four Seasons Hotel Nov 18th, 2011 on behalf of the Down Syndrome Organization.  A wonderful event for such a worthy cause.

Private Dinner Party

Chef's Table

I was lucky enough to be invited to play a special dinner party last Saturday at Peggy's beautiful home.

The theme of the party was French, so of course I played the wandering violin player, playing mostly French music.

It was so much fun and everyone so liked my music!

All of the food looked so good and Peggy paid attention to every detail to make the event spectacular.

Jewish Wedding at Rhodes Ranch

Well it was an ideal setting

Beautiful Rhodes Ranch, lovely bride and handsome groom.  I so enjoyed the location.

It was my first Jewish Wedding and the ceremony was wonderful.

I played “Unchained Melody” as the procession came to the chuppah and “Wonderful World” at the end.

Beautiful Muslim Wedding

Yesterday I had the privlidge of playing at a Muslim Wedding at Vinters Grill in Las Vegas.

The wedding was outside on the patio with about 70 guests.

I thought the women and especially the bride, looked so beautiful!  I played Latkias theme from Slumdog Millionaire as the bride walked down the aisle.

I so liked this wedding and the handsome men too, moma mia!

Ensemble Group

Fun Time with Good Musicians

I had so much fun last night!  Our ensemble group of about 8 musicians preformed for family and friends at a local soiree.

The weather was great and the music was beautiful.  I got to meet some great people and one very special lady who has performed on stage in Vegas for years.  She was so charming and liked my violin.

I hope I made some new friends and get to play for them in the future.  We have a charity event  coming up in November the group will play for too!

My Biggest ‘Little’ Fan

Two Afganistan War Veterans Marry

I played a lovely wedding at "Wellington Place".  The bride was beautiful and everyone so nice in their outfits.  I played old song, "At Last" at ceremony.

I had one little boy that followed me everywhere I went.  So for my little fan I played special for him.  His suit matched the Groom and he was so handsome and charming.

Maybe someday I play at HIS wedding!
